For plastic currency notes of modern features of Rs. 50, Rs. 100, Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 will be brought. The University of Peshawar has developed plastic currency designs. Is. Senator Saleem Mandiwala says that SBP has been asked to bring plastic currency for a long time. SBP has also been working on bringing plastic currency for a long time but SBP could not come up with any plan on it. He said that counterfeit Pakistani currency has become rampant. In order to eradicate counterfeit currency, it is necessary to bring in currency which is impossible to counterfeit. Under the plan, plastic notes of Rs 50, Rs 100, Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 have been introduced. ۔ The new plastic notes have been designed by the Department of Fine Arts, University of Peshawar.
